Today’s GIGsoup Track of the Day is an electro-fuzed cracker. Whistle, tweets and bangs are the order of the day as we’re taken on a journey through a back catalogue of classic Atari games. Ladies, Gentlemen and gaming nerds i give you ‘Princess Slayer’ and the excellent ‘Passion Alley’.

In a day of good fortune for the band they today also share their debut EP ‘Living’ (via ILUVLIVE Records) and today’s featured track is the first song to appear from the impressive release.

Already receiving notable hits on YouTube ‘Passion Alley’ mixes old school video game samples with a chorus containing the most wonderfully seductive vocals. It’s a clever release from a strong debut and while there may be the odd Ting-Tings comparison this track, and its EP stable-mates, certainly have more of an edge to them.

‘Princess Slayer’ are Casey Lim and Vince Welch, who met whilst working at a music venue in 2012. The duo have already started making waves after a tour of ‘ILUVLIVE’ regional events, blowing the socks off the music industry showcase ‘RADAR’ and an electric performance at their headline show celebrating the release of their debut ‘Living’ EP.

2015 promises to be a busy, productive year for the band.

The ‘Living EP’ is out now ‘ILUVLIVE Records’.

The full track-listing for the ‘Living EP’ is as follows…
