Today’s BOOM! Track of the Day is from an artist you’ll be hearing a lot from in 2018. With alluring vibes, Ricardo Williams’ released his first single off his anticipated EP ‘Intermission’ and it did not disappoint. Now he has released a powerful remix; collaborating with J Warner, Jordan King and Mark Asari. Old school R&B is making a massive comeback and Ricardo Williams is flying the flag for the UK.

GIGsoup had to the opportunity to find out all about the his journey. “My first memory was listening to tapes from my Mum, one especially from H-Town and I just fell in love! I thought…. I want to be just like these!”  Now he is as he prepares to support Faith Evans on her upcoming UK tour this summer.

Ricardo has been in the industry for many years, based in Birmingham with a church choir influence; he has been writing songs from the age of 13. Previously working with musicians throughout the UK and Europe now is his time to mix up the industry. He has received recognition on BBC 1Xtra, Reprezent Radio and Pulse radio to name a few. He will also be playing at the Sound City Festival in Liverpool in May.

We asked Ricardo what the influence was behind his new single. “I like making music, ‘Come Over’ happened completely by accident, I was driving home and the inspiration just came to me. I see this single as an alter-ego of myself!” This song will channel your inner 90’s soul and the remix gives off a united front vibe. A powerful collaboration that sets the bar, the blends of R&B tones in a remix that makes a statement.
