Today’s GIGsoup Track of the Day is the perfect accompaniment for sun-drenched days, sitting watching the world go by or simply taking a few minutes out of the busy day.

‘Kyle Field’ (aka Little Wings) brings us the stunningly beautiful ‘Where’, from his forthcoming LP ‘Explains’, out on the 26th May 2015 via Woodsist. The single is a medium paced grower, showcasing the artist’s wonderful vocals and simple cut-back instrumentation. Its likability is in its simplicity.

‘Field’ is is the modern embodiment of the traveling bard and the singing troubadour. Kyle’s discography is vast and impressive, full of tunes that are plucked from the lexicon of great American songwriting. On his latest effort, ‘Explains’, he crafts melodies so haunting and familiar; it’s as if he’s not composing them at all. He is tapping into something greater, acting as a vessel for the collective unconscious that is folk music
