Every now and again in the music journalism business you come across something that quite literally knocks you off you feet. You’d think it would be a common occurrence considering the amount of new music out there just now, but it’s simply not. So, when i tentatively opened another PR email this morning i wasn’t expecting it to contain a track of such jaw dropping quality. This is stunning, stunning indie and contains true anthem-esque qualities.

DMA’s are from Sydney, Australia. The band recently signed to Mushroom Group’sI OH YOU Records‘ (Violent Soho, DZ Deathrays, Snakadaktal) on the strength of their bedroom demos alone, and until a couple weeks ago they were basically unheard of. However, that is already changing pretty quickly from the buzz building around them down under (and now in the UK).

Their first single, “Delete”, points heavily to the bands Brit pop influences with this acoustic ballad that transforms into an indie pop anthem.

‘Delete’ is taken from the bands debut self-titled EP (out on the 28th March 2014).
