We’ve gone ‘old-skool’ for today’s GIGsoup Track of the Day. Sheffield’s Reverend and the Makers new track ‘The Only One’ is a real homage to the late 80’s and has to be the catchiest track we’ve heard this year (yes, yes we know it’s still January). This excellent up-lifting track in available via Cooking Vinyl Records on the 10th March 2014.

‘The Only One’ (see above) was produced by Youth (Primal Scream, Depeche Mode,The Verve) and dance producer James Welsh (Hypercolour Records), it’s taken from the band’s forthcoming fourth album ‘ThirtyTwo’ (release date currently 23rd February 2014). The track-listing for ‘ThirtyTwo’ is as follows…

1.Detonator
2.I Spy
3.The Devil’s Radio

5.Happy Song
6.Different Trains
7.Time
