Those with a fairly healthy memory will recall that we, at GIGsoup, last week posted an article about an upcoming Brit movie ‘Powder Room’. Being a music website (and a bloody good one at that) we highlighted the fact that the fantastic Fake Club had written the track ‘Midnight at Koko’ for the the said film.
The good news for fans of the track is that the band has now released an accompanying video, see above.
Readers of the original article will recall that ‘Midnight at Koko‘ lets us see a gentler side to this feisty all-girl band, showcasing their delicate attention to melody (that is often replaced by pounding drums and screaming guitar solos). The track is also performed by Fake Club in the movie, which premieres this evening.
‘Midnight at Koko’ is released on the same day as the movie (6th December 2013). The film boasts a stellar cast, starring Sheridan Smith, Jaime Winstone, Oona Chaplin and Kate Nash; documenting the story of a group of girls on a night out and unveiling the mystery and the trials and tribulations that take place in the ladies toilets
