Barnsley super-group Exit Calm have announced they are to release ‘Promise’ on the 20th January 2014. The track is taken from last years extremely good and, more importantly, critically acclaimed album ‘The Future Isn’t What It Used to Be’.

The band had a busy 2013 and it looks as though this year won’t be any different. Applauded by Guitarist Magazine as “one of the best British guitar bands of the last 25 years” the band remain a firm favorite on the live circuit and have already supported the likes of Modest Mouse, Echo & The Bunnymen, as well as taking to the stage at the V Festival.

Promise’ really is one of the strongest tracks on 2013 album  and fully deserves its place as todays ‘Track of the Day’ on GIGsoup. The quartet have also recently announced a mini UK tour. The dates are as follows…

Monday 27th January –  London – Water Rats

Tuesday 28th January – York – The Duchess

Wednesday 29th January – Manchester – Sound Control

Thursday 30th January – Glasgow – Broadcast

Saturday 1st February – Nottingham – Bodega Social Club
