June promises to be another excellent month for dance music releases. With diversification becoming more apparent in the underground scene & artists continuing to take their sound in new directions, it’s an exciting time to get involved in the dance music community.

As revellers begin to get ready for the wealth of quality festivals fast approaching over the summer such as Sunfall, Gottwood & Junction 2, it’s now become a perfect opportunity to start adding to your summer dance playlist.

This month we have a varied selection of club focused jams including heavyweight jungle scorchers, techno stompers and deep grooving house numbers for your listening pleasure.

Stenny ‘Lights On’

Starting off on a throwback to rave inspired breakbeat goodness we have Illian Tape’s Stenny with a track that’s just dropped on his ‘Consume IV’ EP. Taking us back to the glory years with hefty breaks and deep spaced out chords, ‘Lights On’ is a late night dancefloor jam that would fit nicely in the depths of a warehouse soiree.

Warren Raww – Gringos Tropicanas

Warren Raww has been turning up the heat this month showcasing some of the tracks off his upcoming release ‘Ross’ on Manchester’s much revered ‘Natural Sciences’ imprint.

‘Gringos Tropicanas’ throws you into a tropical paradise with its grooving percussion and lush melodies, immersing you in a trip to a promised land.  Warren Raww himself has signalled this track for ‘Garden use only’ so make sure to savour this one for the outdoor parties approaching in the coming months.

Junktion – Wide Awake

Moving on to some party starting disco flavours we have the latest from Netherlands based producer ‘Junktion’ with his disco infused house number ‘Wide Awake’. Merging a rolling disco loop with excellent use of chopped samples, this particular track is sure to get the dancefloor moving with a wax only release out now on ‘Outplay’.

Daze- XX

Bringing some Jungle wizardry into the mix is Daze with this recently uploaded gem over on soundcloud entitled ‘XX’. With a strong output of high quality material Daze continues to deliver his unique take on old school breakbeat. Intertwining eerie textures, deep underlying kicks and chopped up breaks perfect for a smoke filled dancefloor.

Marlon Hoffstadt & Interplanetary Criminal – Lotus

To finish this month’s selections we have Marlon Hoffstadt & Interplanetary Criminal joining forces to treat us to some hard hitting house material. Incorporating shuffling 909 percussion work & synth lines that feel like they belong on an intergalactic space journey, ‘Lotus’ has an evolving deep groove that hooks you on first listen.
