Cheltenham’s 2000trees Festival have revealed the first wave of bands for this years annual rock festival. Now in its 11th year, the event announced legendary punk duo Slaves as the first headliners – alongside 37 other brilliant acts, formed of both returning favourites and the finest in up-and-coming artists.
Commenting on the success of 2016, festival organiser James Scarlett says: “We had a phenomenal 10th anniversary last year. The atmosphere was so special and the feedback was just incredible, so it was always going to be a tough task to top that, but ALL our efforts have gone into doing just that and we are unbelievably excited for 2017. As a 100% independent festival, we have always sought to maintain the intimate, friendly and fun vibe that sets smaller events apart and we are growing organically with amazing ideas in the pipeline to help 2000trees Festival to really flourish as one of the best small festivals in the UK”
Other acts making an appearance over the weekend include top 10 album chart rockers Nothing But Thieves, who return to the festival after their massive debut on the Axiom stage in 2015 – as well as previous 2000trees favourites Pulled Apart By Horses and Feed The Rhino.

The lineup isn’t short of solo material either – with ex-Reuben frontman Jamie Lenman taking to the mainstage for the first time. Alongside that comes Steven Battelle’s festival debut, and one of the first live solo performances since the departure of Derby rockers LostAlone.
Also returning to the festival for the second consecutive year come two of Devon’s finest Muncie Girls and Black Foxxes, who were both received significantly well at 2016’s celebrations.

The annual, 10,000 capacity 2000trees Festival is located on Upcote Farm, near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. GL54 4BL. It offers a diverse lineup every year – and they’re never short of the finest in up and coming rock.
