This year’s Field Day lineup shows that 11 years into its creation, this is still a festival that showcases some of the most exciting alternative musicians from home and abroad. Not only is the festival once more supporting some lesser known acts, but it’s able to boast having a rare performance from the enigmatic Aphex Twin – who wrote an equally puzzling bio for the Field Day website-which will be taking the Main stage on June 3rd 2017.

Although the stages have yet to be announced, the organisers have revealed that a brand new indoor main stage, The Barn, will be unveiled and lay ground for this year’s tight lineup. The festival’s acts range from Omar Souleyman, a wedding singer turned cult club musician, to Sacramento’s enthralling experimental hip hop group, Death Grips. However, if you aren’t feeling like synthesised Arabic love songs, or even mosh worthy rap core, then you can head to see Chicago’s more laid back band, Whitney. Other acts include; Flying Lotus, Haelos, King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, Moderat, Mura Masa, Slowdive and Thee Oh Sees.
