One night, three venues and three amazing artists, but no headliner – intrigued? On 6th October 2017, The Red Lodge Agency will be teaming up with Sensoria Festival once more for the second annual ‘3 Ring Circus’ event in Sheffield.

The idea is that three artists will play three shows on the same night, in three different venues, to three different crowds – whilst the artists move from venue to venue, their audiences stay put. This year’s line-up is Sheffield’s own Richard Hawley, Manic Street Preachers front man James Dean Bradfield and singer Lou Doillon.

Richard Hawley makes a welcome return to 3 Ring Circus after hosting last years event. The former Pulp guitarist has released eight solo albums, including his latest album ‘Hollow Meadows’, that was released back in 2015. Aside from his involvement in Pulp and his solo career, Hawley has worked with some huge UK artists, including James Dean Bradfield; adding his Hawaiian guitar to Bradfield’s passionate vocals on the melancholic title track of the Manic Street Preachers album ‘Rewind the Film’.

Best known for being the lead guitarist and lead vocalist for the Welsh alternative rock band the Manic Street Preachers, James Dean Bradfield is renowned for performing acoustic numbers solo at the bands gigs, and released his superb debut solo album ‘The Great Western’ in 2006. With 30 years of Manic Street Preachers hits behind him and recent reissues of classic albums ‘The Holy Bible’, ‘Everything Must Go’ and ‘Send Away the Tigers’, who knows what surprises Bradfield has up his sleeve.

As the daughter of film director Jacques Doillon and actress Jane Birkin and half-sister of Charlotte Gainsbourg – it’s impossible now to acknowledge Lou Doillon’s family connections in the French movie and music industry. Doillon’s acting career began when she played her mothers daughter in 1988’s ‘Le petit amour’, before her father offered her a role in 1998’sTrop (peu) d’amour’. Her fist album was produced by legendary French singer Etienne Daho and won her Best Female Artist at Victoires De La Musique in 2013. Her 2nd album ‘Lay Low’ was released in 2015 and went Gold soon after.

The event will take place at Trafalgar Warehouse 2, Upper Chapel and the University Drama Studio; though they all possess a different atmosphere, what the three venues have in common is their small capacity. Each artist will act as the opening act in one of the three venues and play a 40 minute acoustic set, before hopping into a waiting car outside which will speed them to the next venue- the artists will rotate with each other, thus, each artist becomes the opener, middle act and headline act!

3 Ring Circus will undoubtedly be a memorable night – don’t miss it! Tickets are still available for Trafalgar Warehouse 2, from seetickets.co.uk
