2000trees Festival continues with their rolling act announcement, as the second of five new acts has been announced for the 2018 festival.
Today saw the announcement of Jonah Matranga and Friends, who will play the Cave stage on Thursday. Matranga, from Brookline, Massachusetts, began his career when he formed the post-hardcore quintet Far in 1991. Far released four albums before disbanding in 1998, following which Matranga continued as a solo artist under the moniker onlinedrawing.
Matranga retired the onelinedrawing moniker in 2004 and continued recording under his given name, collaborating with such artists as Frank Turner, Taproot and Matt Nathanson. He reformed Far in 2009 and they released a fifth album, 2010’s ‘At Night We Live’.
Jonah Matranga (along with the undisclosed ‘friends’ who will be performing alongside him) will play Far’s 2008 album, ‘Water and Solutions’, at 2000trees 2018. He joins yesterdays line-up announcement, Turnstile, along with an established bill containing Enter Shikari, At the Drive In, Frightened Rabbit, And So I Watch You From Afar, Hell is for Heroes, Creeper, Basement and many other acts across four stages.
GIGsoup will be back tomorrow with another 2000trees line-up announcement!
