Festival No 6, one of Wales’ most exciting festivals, have just released their initial line up. The headliners include Grammy award-winning experimental five piece The Flaming Lips, as well as mid naughties indie wonders Bloc Party and Mogwai.
The festival, which takes place from September 7th-10th is a fan favourite that takes place in the Welsh tourist town of Portmeirion. The festival have taken it back to their roots for their 6th birthday this year with possibly it’s most diverse line up to date. The bill includes Australian acid rock trio Jaguar Ma and crowd favourites Cabbage. Other acts alongside them include recent Brit award winner Rag ‘N’ Bone Man, Kate Tempest, The Cribs, Honeyblood, Toy and Superfood. On top of all this there’s a special DJ set from Britpop legend Jarvis Cocker.

Also bringing more wow-factor to the main stage comes a collaboration between The Bootleg Beatles, a Beatles tribute act, and the globally renowned Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album.
We’re already blown away by this initial announcement, and as if this wasn’t enough, there’s going to be far more revealed as we grow closer to September. Keep your eyes peeled.
