The  sell out inaugural Cotton Clouds Festival takes place in Saddleworth near Oldham on 12 August. An eclectic mix of emerging and established bands will play over three stages.

Proletariat open up the action at the Tim Peaks diner with a 12.30 stage time. Don’t be late or you will regret missing this punk inspired band and hearing their new single “Ignorance” out on 18 August which they say is their best work yet.

Blinders play Jimmy’s Stage from 17.46 to 18.15 and are attracting lots of attention with their mix of political punk rock and psychedelia. 2017 has been something of a break out year for them seeing them play Camden Rocks and Kendal Calling.

Pins play from 20.30 -21.15 on Jimmy’s Stage and impressed Gigsoup at Liverpool’s Festevol Festival earlier this year. This high energy group have had a very busy festival diary this year, appearing at the Isle of Wight and Board masters Festivals. They are also due to play Reading and Leeds.

The Sundowners are a perfect festival band combining folk and psych rock which make for mightily catchy tunes to dance to. They have had a busy festival season, playing the Isle of Wight, Glastonbury and Kendal Calling festivals amongst countless other local festivals. Check them out at the Tim Peaks Diner 15.30 to 16.00.

Stillia has just been announced as support for Ocean Colour Scene on their Dubai, New Zealand and Australian tour this autumn. They have clocked up an astounding amount of live dates this year including Kendal Calling and Dot to Dot Festivals. Come and see them open up the Main stage from 13.00 to 13.30 with their blend of indie rock that is made for outdoor stadiums.
