Hertfordshire’s premiere Music Festival Standon Calling will be headlined this year by Orbital and Clean Bandit. Since emerging at the start of the 90s, Orbital  have consistently evolved and innovated, with rapturous live sets of infectious techno beats and peerless anthems such as ‘Belfast’, ‘Halcyon And On And On’ and ‘Chime’ standing in a class of their own. Meanwhile, Clean Bandit’s fusion of classical strings, electro beats and vintage pop hooks have made them a treasured and adored part of British pop culture. Standon Calling prides itself on filling its bill with a variety of genres, styles and distinctive names; which is once again evident in this years thoroughly impressive line-up. As well as Orbital and Clean Bandit, the likes of Slaves, Laura Mvula and Pop royalty Gary Numan are among the names that catch the eye among the first batch of names announced. Slaves head back to the festival after a breakout set in 2015 youthful punk royalty Slaves, bringing a live show amped full of blistering intensity, unquenchable energy and unmissable presence. One of the defining live bands of recent years, the Mercury Prize-nominated duo are sure to leave their mark at Standon Calling 2017.

The festival once again brings the most talked about names in new music into one weekend, with UK MC Nadia Rose, shimmering indie-pop slickers Fickle Friends and Manchester anarchists Cabbage confirmed for the festival as well as the likes of Lucy Spraggan and British Sea Power.

With comedy, DJ Sets and even a Dog Show –  Standon Calling 2017 will once again open its gates for a weekend that defines the British festival experience which has been described as unparalleled and unmissable.
