Pwer Festival.  What began as a dream formulated by two Cardiff-based students six months ago has rapidly turned into one of the most exciting new music events to hit the Welsh capital in years. With the aim of promoting some of the country’s most exciting young alternative music, the all-day festival is set to have something for everyone to enjoy, and to unite people across the city searching for unsigned, emerging talent.

Taking place on Saturday 6th May, the mini-festival will take place in Gŵdihŵ Cafe Bar in central Cardiff.  The unique venue is a firm supporter of local music, and is a hidden gem for music lovers throughout the city.

Announcing the first wave of the line-up last week, it was revealed that False Advertising will be headlining the day.  The female-led grunge trio gained a huge following after their stunning set at Sŵn festival last year, and their main stage performance is set to be phenomenal.  From the pop-punk of Junior to the unadulterated punk of Cassels,  vast array of alternative bands are set to keep the party going all night.

Full line-up (so far!):

False Advertising // Junior // Cassels // iDestroy // Outta Peak // Andy Oliveri & The Mountaineers // These Five Years // Sienna // PENNY RICH (+more tba)

Continuing with the theme of supporting young musicians, tickets will be offered at a reduced price for students.
