A brand new video from Alcopop! Records’ ‘Acollective’ has just gone live. Moody, and lyrically a little bleak, ‘Happiest Of All Memorial Days’ finds ‘Acollective’ in a far darker mood than usual.

World-weary, the album as a whole brims with ideas and is packed full of global influences. Here, HOAMD throws in the album’s curve ball; a funeral-pace slow-burn that the band says is about “the fascination we all have with the comforting effects of perpetual stasis, and the realisation that someone else will now have to grow into the uniforms you abandoned”.

The band will be here in the UK in July and their album ‘Pangaea’, will be released on Alcopop! on 7th July.

14th July – Birthdays, London
20th July – Brixton Windmill, London

A review of the new album will appear on GIGsoup within the next couple of days.
