The Orwells are due to release todays ‘GIGsoup Track of the Day’, “Who Needs You”, on the 9th September 2013.”Who Needs You” will be released through National Anthem/East End Records and precedes the band’s debut UK tour.

As previously reported, the new EP features four tracks, with the lead track produced by Dave Sitek. The EP also features new tracks ‘Open Your Eyes’ and ‘Salvation Is A Parking Lot, and are self-produced. The EP concludes on an Audiotree Live Session recording of ‘Halloween All Year’.

The EP will be made available digitally and on limited edition 10” vinyl.

The young Chicago Illinois band will kick off their run of UK shows at Leeds Brudenell Social Club on the 9th September, and conclude at Manchester’s Soup Kitchen on 13th September. The tour includes two shows in London at White Heat @ Madame Jo Jo’s and The Sebright Arms.

Following their UK tour, the band return to the US for a 22-date tour alongside FIDLAR. The UK dates are as follows…

9th September 2013 – Brudenell Social Club, Leeds

10th September 2013 – White Heat @ Madame Jo Jo’s, London

11th September 2013 – Sebright Arms, London

12th September 2013 – The Green Door Store, Brighton

13th September 2013 – The Soup Kitchen, Manchester
