After blazing their way through a mammoth of 2016 tour, JUDAS are ready to tear through 2017 in similar style. Ahead of this years highly-anticipated Live at Leeds, GIGsoup briefly caught up with the band to talk sunglasses, golden oldies and Black Honey.

Do you have any fond memories of Leeds?

Haha! Best question ever. Maybe when we played a Leeds Main Stage slot last year… was unbelievable. The most people we have ever played to, and it was the most incredible experience for all of us. Bring on this summer

Who on this years bill excites you?

Live at Leeds line up this year is ace. We’re most looking forward to Nothing but Thieves. Theres is one of the only CD’s we have, so it’s on repeat in the van constantly. Been very excited to watch Black Honey again, after seeing them smash it at Y Not last summer.

Leeds legends – Kaiser Chiefs or Alt-J?

It’s got to be Kaiser Chiefs, no doubt.

Your number one festival tip is?

Sunglasses. No matter how tired, or f**ked you are, you’ll ALWAYS look cool in sunnies.

What would be your dream trio of festival headliners?

JUDAS, W/ support from Kings of Leon and Tame Impala, haha.

How is it different for you to play at a festival, as opposed to a standalone tour/gig?

It’s another world. Not only do you get to play a show, you get to enjoy the whole festival. Once the gear is packed away, its playtime! Venues are great because you know the fans are there to watch you specifically, but playing festivals gives you a huge opportunity to make, and meet loads more!!

What can we expect from your set at Live At Leeds?

Few brand new tunes, few olden goldies, and a hell of a show.

Tickets for this year’s LAL are available here: Live At Leeds
