Following BBC 6Music/Introducing support for their recent singles Kiss Me and Voices, Manchester’s A Band Called Jack have released their debut album Running Through My Head (out now via MST Sounds) on all download and streaming platforms.

Full of folksy indie-pop and acoustic rock, it’s worth a listen on Spotify below.

Having inked a deal with young and spirited record label MST SOUNDS, A Band Called Jack are ready to stir up major attention with a debut album powered by the band’s folksy songcraft and indie choruses. From the chiming Voices to the funked-up rock of Makes Me Shine and the 90’s alt-rock of Changes, this is a collection of tracks as different as they are united in melodic enterprise and emotive expression. With repeat support from BBC Introducing and a recent spin on Guy Garvey’s BBC 6Music show, their upward trajectory is set to continue into 2019.

As a long-time fixture in Manchester as part of the same arts scene that produced Elbow and David Gray, the band officially formed in 2010 and have worked their way up from gigs in empty pubs to giant crowds at the Castlefield Arena. Following in the musical lineage of both North-West Britpop bands and the timeless guitar pop of REM and Crowded House, their acoustic-leaning songs and relentless work ethic are gaining the band a loyal fanbase evidenced by iTunes chart placings and sold out shows.
