Aussie, psychedelic, fuzz rockers, Pond, are to play an intimate gig in London at the Moth Club on the 14th February.
Pond, who were founded by ex Tame Impala bassist Nick Allbrook, have also released a video for their forthcoming single ‘Sweep Me off My Feet’ from their upcoming seventh album ‘The Weather.’ The band known for their oddball videos have carried on in the same vein with bizarre images of families running along the ocean, Jesus walking on water, bubble gum shower shots and business men celebrating what looks like success.
The Aussie quartet utilised their relationship with Kevin Parker who produced the band’s latest LP, the follow up to the 2015’s effort-‘ Man, it feels like space again’.

Nick Allbrook says the themes of the new album are reflecting on colonialism:
“It’s a concept album, not completely about Perth, but focusing on all the weird contradictory things that make up a lot of colonial cities around the world. Laying out all the dark things underneath the shimmering exterior of cranes, development, money and white privilege. It’s not our place, but it is our place. British, but Australian, but not REAL Australian. On the edge of the world with a hell of a lot of fucked things defining our little city, still we try and live a wholesome respectful life, while being inherently disrespectful. At the end of all this confusion in our weird little white antipodean world, there’s the beach, purity and nature that brings us all together.”
The band has also announced tour dates for major festivals, see the dates below:
27 May – London Calling, Amsterdam, Netherlands
3 June – Primavera, Barcelona

16 & 23 April – Coachella, US
‘The Weather’ will be released May 5th via Marathon Artists
