It appears the ‘Kings of Leon’ are nearing completion on their latest album.
A video released on their social media accounts show the names of each of their last six albums on the screen followed by the number seven. This is then followed by a few seconds which appears to show the band in the studio.
The American stadium rockers latest album comes three years after the 2013 release of ‘Mechanical Bull’. Both Jared and Nathan Followill posted pictures on twitter showing the Followill siblings in the studio under the caption ‘#Walls‘, perhaps teasing at the new albums title.
‘Mechanical Bull’ hit the number 1 in the UK albums chart, making it the 4th ‘Kings of Leon‘ album to do so. Drummer ‘Nathan Followill’ stated in an interview last year that ‘We’ve already started pre-production in our studio for the next record, but the main thing on the calendar for 2016 is getting the record finished. And then the whole press machine kicks up and doing press for the record.’ Therefore, it looks very likely that we will see hear some new material from the band before the end of the year. It has also been widely reported that the first track from the new album ‘Waste A Moment’ will be released in mid-September.
There is currently no official release date for the new album.
