Having seemingly withdrawn from making music altogether due to a crippling battle with anxiety, it came as somewhat of a shock when Paul Marshall (aka Lone Wolf) announced that in 2015 he would be releasing his third album ‘Lodge’. Today GIGsoup showcase the new single ‘Crimes’ (see the video above) and list the forthcoming tour dates for the artist.

‘Crimes’ is certainly a remarkable piece of work, even more so considering most thought they would not hear from the artist again. A steady pounding drum and almost sinister piano are over shadowed by a wonderfully up-lifting chorus. This is a comeback worthy of lazarus himself.

Marshall approached the recording of album number 3 very differently to his previous works on Bella Union and his own label (both critically acclaimed ‘The Devil’ and ‘I and The Lovers’).  He locked himself inside his recording studio ‘The Lodge’ with only his producer (long time band mate James Kenosha) and trumpeter David Wärmegård for six days.  Despite evidently being an accomplished guitarist, he devoted his attention to the piano on this record.

The result of the 6 day recording session is the new LP ‘Lodge’. It’s been given an 11th May 2015 release date, via Sharing Needles with Friends.

The full track-listing for ‘Lodge’ is as follows…

‘Wilderness’
‘Alligator’
‘Crimes’
‘Give Up’
‘Mistakes’
‘Mess’
‘Taking Steps’
‘Art of Letting Go’
‘Get Rough’
