Porcupine Tree’s Steven Wilson has announced his upcoming fifth solo album, entitled ‘To The Bone’. The album is set to land on 18th August via Caroline International, and comes available in the usual array of packages including a deluxe set featuring the album and demos over two CDs, a DVD, a Blu Ray disc and 7″ single. Ever the audiophile, Wilson will also be releasing the album via Blu Ray as a standalone option too, for the more discerning customers who don’t want to fork out for the £50 deluxe edition.

‘To The Bone’ sounds like typically intense stuff, the pre-order page proudly proclaiming that “lyrically, the album’s eleven tracks veer from the paranoid chaos of the post-truth era and the creeping self-loathing of the technology age to steely fly-on-the-wall observations of the everyday lives of religious fundamentalists”.

Wilson has also announced a fairly large EU/UK tour, but don’t get too excited yet – it doesn’t take place until next year. Still, fans likely won’t have to travel too far to see him as he’s covering a good amount of major cities in Europe throughout January and February, before heading over to the UK in March.
