Arcade Fire drummer Jeremy Gara has reassured eager fans that the band’s fifth studio album is still set to be released in 2017.
In an interview with Red Bull Poland, Gara stated that the Canadian outfit have finished recording all the tracks for the follow-up to 2013’s ‘Reflektor’. Gara has said that the band is “still mixing and trying to decide which songs will end up on the record, because we’ve recorded more than we need.“

In terms of supporting the release, Gara has speculated that April may see the band begin two years’ worth of concerts, “From my perspective, it looks like Arcade Fire starts in April and finish around April 2019.”, adding to the already confirmed live performances the band have scheduled in June and July.
Arcade Fire are putting out ‘The Reflektor Tapes/Live at Earls Court’ a DVD containing live tour footage from their 2014 ‘Reflektor‘ tour – surely something for fans to be happy about. The DVD will be available January 27th.
