On the eve of something ending, the genre defying lads in As Sirens Fall bring us one last beacon of hope and positive vibes in the video for latest single ‘She Runs with the Wolves’. While arguably their preceding videos for latest record ‘Where Lost Things Go’ have been much more concept based and audibly much heavier, this latest piece brings an upbeat versatility to the table and stands very much alone and ahead of the pack.
With cheeky riffs, heart-stopping twists and turns and an ultimate crescendo within the exceptional chorus that knows no bounds, this is what vocalist Mikey Lord had to say about the track: ‘I think She Runs With The Wolves is one of our favourites. It used to sound like ‘Purple Rain meets Whitney Houston’, and initially it didn’t make the cut. After the person it was written for passed away, we decided to bring it back and to challenge ourselves by throwing all creative confines to the wind and to turn it into a more positive song with a message that truly encapsulated ‘us’. I think it is the perfect end to Where Lost Things Go and it only seemed right to give the song a video before we moved on to the next project’.
With a beautiful, inspiring message of self-love, acceptance, supporting one another and above all else, hope, ‘She Runs with the Wolves’ is certainly a rock-opera not to be missed, a true anthem in its own right.
As Sirens Fall are also appearing at a special one-off headline show at London’s Thousand Island on March 16th, supported the wonderful by Raiders and Damn Cargo. And the fun doesn’t stop there, for you can also catch them supporting Dream State in Leeds on April 14th, and later in the year, you’ll find them gracing the stage of Camden Rocks Festival and Weightless Festival.
