Last week it was announced that Beyoncé would be pulling out of her Coachella 2017 headline slot, due to pregnancy – though she has said that she’ll be headlining the festival in 2018.

At the time no replacement act was announced, but it has now been confirmed that Lady Gaga will be filling the slot headlining day two of the Californian festival.  Prior to the announcement, rumours about the replacement act abounded with some speculating that Daft Punk may make a return to the stage at the festival.  Commenting on the performance, Gaga kept it short, saying “let’s party in the desert“.

There is also speculation over a possible Gaga slot at Glastonbury 2017, with a twitter comment she made back in October saying “Glaaaastonbury! I don’t have permission to say anything about that” only fuelling the fire.
