Leftfield perform Leftism Live is among the latest atrractions added to the lineup for WOMAD 2018. Founding member Neil Barnes will perform the classic electronica record ‘Leftism’ live and complete with a band 23 years on from its release.

Washington DC’s Thievery Corporation also join the bill for their WOMAD debut bringing their fusion of chilled grooves and global influences to the electic lineup.

Bombay Bicycle Club frontman Jack Steadman’s new musical project Mr Jukes will also bring soulful, funk-tinged and jazz-rooted sounds to the mix, with influences from old-school R&B and modern pop.

Reggae MC Macka B, souful Ethio-American vocalist and founder of the Nile Project Meklit, and hard-hitting African hip-hop lyricists Daara J Family are among the latest crop of artists announced for the four-day festival.

They will join Amadou & Mariam, Tal National, and Ken Boothe who were announced in February.

WOMAD will be held at Charlton Park near Malmesbury in Wiltshire on 26 – 29 July 2018. Tickets are available from the WOMAD website.
