Last week, Brighton festival The Great Escape promised a “MASSIVE” announcement and they delivered on that promise. Today they have confirmed Oxford rockers Foals will take over Concorde 2 for a crazy Spotlight Show on Friday 9th May.

This follows the groups joint-highest-charting album ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1’ as it peaked at number 2 in the UK charts. Foals will play Concorde 2 for the first time since December 2012, and you can expect the popular live act to bring a wave of carnage to the seaside.

Foals will be performing at The Great Escape as part of a 15th anniversary celebration of Transgressive. The label has been an omnipresent force at The Great Escape and this event will be a fitting party. Supported on the night by label-mates Blaenavon and Boniface, this will be a great opportunity to see the group before their UK tour in the summer.

The ‘On The Luna’ outfit will headline the second Spotlight Show at this year’s The Great Escape. On Thursday 8th May, Lewis Capaldi will headline a sold-out show at Brighton Dome supported by Easy Life and Kara Marni. With The Great Escape stating this as, “biggest ever show the festival has seen”, this is one not to miss.

Tickets for Foals’ intimate Transgressive 15th Anniversary Spotlight Show at Concorde 2 go on sale on Wednesday 3rd April at 9am here. Festival tickets are available via their website now.
