Kelcey Ayer, known for being a songwriter, vocalist, and pianist for Local Natives, released his new single, “Hawaiian License Plates,” on Friday. The single is from his side project’s debut album, ‘Tasha Sits Close to the Piano.’  The single, produced by COMBAT!. was inspired by Ayer’s recent trip to Hawaii with his wife, where he took notice of the state’s short license plates.
