London dub R&B performer Little Simz won mobile phone gig booking app DICE’s LIVE AWARD at Moth Club in Hackney, London, on 19 November. Guests and competition winners drank free beer in the refurbished venue, decorated with black balloons. Nominees The Big Moon performed first, followed by Little Simz herself.

This was DICE’s second LIVE AWARD ceremony. Last year’s winner was Wolf Alice, who have gone on to meteoric success. This year’s other bands in the frame were ferocious and formidable Irish group Girl Band and BBC introducing favourite and multi-instrumentalist Jack Garratt.

Winner Little Simz walked off with a fancy silver cup. Runners up The Big Moon are supporting The Vaccines.
