Brooklyn-based trap/R&B artist, Jimi Noel, just dropped his new single “Savage”. This is the first single from his upcoming EP and sets the tone for what’s to come.
Jimi Noel brings an unpredictable harmonic sound to the R&B track that showcases his distinctive vocal range. The track tackles the complexities of relationships and loyalty. Jimi wrote the track when inspired by “a moment in time [he was] wrongfully treated with disloyalty and infidelity.”
Jimi produced “Savage” along with his production partner, Lehkz. KQuick (Fabulous, Bas) mastered the track, who as an an artist himself is signed to J.Cole’s label Dreamville.
Jimi Noel grew up listening on his mother’s record player. This is where he heard a lot of the classics that had an undeniable influence on his sound today. Like a lot of aspiring performers “practiced” his performances in the mirror. His music filled childhood laid the foundations for his defined R&B sound.
On the road to play professional basketball outside of the United States, Jimi got permanently sidelined when he suffered an injury in a car crash. The experience motivated him to pursue his passion for music. He now dedicates his time to crafting and mastering his skills.
