The Cure’s enigmatic lead singer Robert Smith as collaborated with former Orbital producer Paul Hartnoll as part of his 8:58 LP. The album which also features Ed Harcourt and movie star Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later and Batman Trilogy) is out now on ACP Recordings.

In an interview with ‘The Line of Best Fit’, Hartnoll explained that the project was a continuation of where Orbital was heading before the split in 2014. “There were plenty of beats but I wanted to exercise my more compositional side too, and bring in a witch, Wicker Man aspect.”
