German industrial metal machines Rammstein have recently released a 2-disc DVD ‘In Amerika’. A total of 240 minutes video, it includes a live show, a documentary and a additional bonus materials. Unfortunately, the DVD is the only thing to keep their massive fan base happy as there are still no news of any upcoming material, beside the frontman Till Lindemann side project Lindemann.
The DVD focuses on Rammstein’s first concert in the United States in 10 years. Disc 1 features the full show from Madison Square Garden, New York in 2010, which sold out completely in just 20 minutes of pre-sale. The live video includes band’s greatest hits ‘Du Hast’, ‘Engel’, ‘Links 2 3 4’, ‘Benzin’ and many more.
Disc 2 is a 2-hours long documentary entitled Rammstein in Amerika, directed by Hannes Rosacher of legendray Austrian video production company DoRo Productions, responsible for one of the best music videos by Queen, Falco, The Rolling Stones, and David Bowie. The documentary follows the band’s journey across the United States with previously unseen footage and feature appearances by members of Korn, SlipKnot, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Kiss, Steven Taylor of Aerosmith, Moby, and many more.
In addition, the second disc included a short video of the Making of their last album Liebe Is Für Alle Da, released in 2009 via Universal and recorded in California. The full DVD package can be ordered from Rammstein’s official website.
