10 years on from their self titled debut album, Scouting For Girls are back in business! After having a few years out, the trio have just announced a special edition album as well as their anniversary tour which will take place this November/December.
To celebrate their 10 year anniversary, the pop band are releasing a reissue of the debut album including 4 unreleased tracks, live versions of most of the songs and previously unheard demos, plus it’s first release on vinyl. The London based band announced the album via a youtube video, stating “this is to say thank you… we’ll see you on the road.” The album is available to pre-order now, and will go on sale on the 19th May.
Reminiscing on the album takes us back to more care-free times, with tracks full of joy and brilliant melodies throughout, it’s no surprise that this band are still so loved by so many. Scouting For Girls’ anthemic single ‘She’s So Lovely’ is just one example of the pure bliss that this band can create. Filled to the brim with infectious keys, nifty lyrics, captivating percussion, a fantastic bass line all coupled together with Roy Stride’s magnificent vocals – it’s easy to understand why it’s still one of the trio’s biggest hits.
The huge 30 date tour begins on the 3rd November at Glasgow’s O2 ABC, and will come to a close at Manchester’s O2 Ritz on the 5th December. Tickets are sale now at around £25 each. Grab them while you can, as these are set to sell out in no time!
