Emo Revivalists Sorority Noise have announced their intention to go on hiatus, following their UK tour supporting the Wonder Years. The band broke the surprising news to fans through a post on the band’s Facebook account:

As it stands, this means that the band’s last show will be April 19, at the Empire Music Hall in Belfast.

Sorority Noise have been praised by critics for their unflinching approach to uncomfortable subject matter. Their latest release, ‘You’re Not as____________as You Think’, was lauded for it’s frank appraisal of suicidal thoughts, and the reality of life following the suicide of a friend.

The hiatus comes on the heels of other high-profile breakups within the Emo Revival scene; following the demise of Modern Baseball and You Blew It! at the end of 2017. Sorority Noise recently released ‘YNA_____AYT’; which features acoustic renditions of the tracks on ‘You’re Not as____________as You Think’.

Sorority Noise will embark on their final tour of the US in March, and the UK in April.

‘You’re Not as____________as You Think’ and ‘YNA_____AYT’ are available now through Triple Crown Records.
