Last night, The Strokes revealed something that has sent their thousands of fans across the world into frenzy. They are going back into the studio.
Frontman Julian Casablancas confirmed the news during the band’s headline slot at the Landmark Festival in Washington, DC last night (Sunday September, 27). Fans spread the word like wildfire, revealing that he said ‘We’ll be back soon. We’ll be back in the studio and shit‘.
This is huge news for fans of The Strokes, whose last album, ‘Comedown Machine’, was released in 2013. They now join their contemporaries with the likes of The Libertines and Blur also making big comebacks this year with new material.
The Strokes have already played a number of huge shows this year, at Hyde Park and Primavera Sound. They have also been busy with their own solo pursuits. Only recently Julian Casablancas and his new band The Voidz were forced to pull out of a US tour due to creative issues.
However, with the news that new material may be on the way, the fans have a lot to look forward to.
