The Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson has added a UK leg to his lengthy ‘Pet Sounds’ 50th anniversary tour. Perhaps one of the most critically acclaimed albums of all time, ‘Pet Sounds’ was the 11th Beach Boys record and is frequently accredited with practically inventing chamber pop, so it’s no surprise that Wilson has been centring all of his recent live activity around the album.
The tour initially kicked off back in March last year and has already taken him across multiple continents. He’s already played the UK once on this tour, in May 2016, so if you missed him then, now might be your only opportunity, as Wilson has suggested that this may be the last time he’s ever going to tour the iconic album.

In a short note to fans, Wilson said, “I’m really happy to be able to come back to the UK and perform ‘Pet Sounds’ yet again for all our fans. The response from everyone has been amazing and that’s why we decided to come back and play ‘Pet Sounds’ for one last time. We want to thank the fans in the UK for all their support, and look forward to playing these shows this summer. Love and mercy, Brian.”
The UK dates are as follows:
29th July: Kendal Calling, Lowther Deer Park
30th July: Camp Bestival, Lulworth Castle
1st August: Hammersmith Apollo, London
2nd August: Sheffield City Hall, Sheffield
