Shan Marshall – better known as Cat Power – has announced a pair of tour dates with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. The singer-songwriter will be opening for the Australian rock band in Berkeley and Los Angeles on June 24 and 29.

Cave and the Bad Seeds are currently touring in promotion of their latest album Skeleton Tree.

Released in September 2016 to critical acclaim, the album has been described as bold and courageous – “an act of respect, a gift to the memory of his beloved son Arthur Cave, whose loss has been felt so irrefutably by so many through the beauty and majesty of this fitting collection of songs”.
