Dancing On Tables are a five-piece pop-rock band from Dunfermline, a small town just outside Edinburgh. Originally friends from school, Robbie, Callum, Hamish, Gregor & Michael named themselves after arriving at a show, without a band name. When asked for their name they noticed that punters were dancing on tables and decided to run with it.

It’s this optimistic, fun-driven attitude coupled with an infectious indie-pop sound that’s secured the boys some impressive early support from fans and the industry. The band were signed early on by US Label LV Music, who went on to release their first single “OH”, followed by the “Space Race” EP. The two releases cemented the bands music as some of the most exciting new indie-pop in the UK, with support from Wonderland Magazine, Clash Magazine, Shazam and Record of The Day. Spotify’s curation team have also backed the music, resulting in over 1 Million Streams on their platform.

The boys’ live game has gone from strength-to-strength, with a UK tour booked for the end of Summer supporting Cassia, as well as previous shows at industry melting pots The Great Escape and Live At Leeds festival.

The band return this September with the groove-laced, vintage indie-pop new single “Colour Me Good”. The track encapsulates everything that makes the band one of the most exciting new talents on the indie radar. Sun-drenched, dance-able songwriting with a distinct scottish charm. It’s an emphatic, modern production with a hint of summer nostalgia.

“I think CMG is the most fun song we have written and brings out a new, less-serious side of us. The ‘Space Race’ EP tackles more serious and melancholy topics, but we thought this is the perfect track to encapsulate summer, and begin the release of our music.” – Dancing on Tables
