Foals have announced that they will be going on their first UK arena tour in 2016.
The band are flying high following the success of their latest album ‘What Went Down’, released in August, which reached number 3 in the UK Charts and received critical acclaim. Yannis Philappakis and co. will be hitting the road in February, kicking things off at the SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow before going to Manchester, Bournemouth, London, Birmingham and finishing up at the First Direct Arena in Leeds.
In recent months, Foals have been tipped to headline a number of festivals in 2016, including the likes of Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds. If these rumours come to fruition, the arena dates will provide them with excellent preparation. They are known for their raucous, energetic live performances and this will surely transfer well to the bigger stages.
It’s a long time coming for Foals, who are deservedly beginning to cement their spot among the big players.
Foals will play:
Glasgow, Hydro (February 12)
Manchester, Arena (February 13)
Bournemouth, International Centre (February 16)
London, Wembley Arena (February 17)
Birmingham, Barclaycard Arena (February 19)
Leeds, First Direct Arena (February 20)
