After earlier today announcing details of the new ‘Waxahatchee’ tour we can now also confirm that LA duo ‘Girlpool’ will be supporting the artist on her spring US dates. A series of European dates have also been announced alongside ‘Alex G’ (see below).

After receiving positive feedback on their debut self-titled EP (released via Wichita Recordings last November) the band today shares a personal documentary. The 25 minute film called ‘Girlpool: Things are OK’ documents the band’s first east coast tour, which includes performances of unreleased songs at the now defunct ‘Death by Audio’ and ‘Glasslands’. The documentary, which director Cory McConnell is calling “a portrait of a band at a unique moment in time, discussing their friendship and creative process”, captures the raw energy and intimacy that makes the bands live shows so powerful.

The upcoming live dates for ‘Girlpool’ are as follows…

16th February 2015 – Lexington, London

18th February 2015 – Soup Kitchen, Manchester

19th February 2015 – Broadcast, Glasgow

21st February 2015 – Pop Up Du Label, Paris

23rd February 2015 – Berghain Kantine, Berlin

24th February 2015 – Exile Molotow, Hamburg
