Following the announcement of their headline set at London’s Hyde Park for the British Summer Time series, Green Day have added a new Sheffield date to their UK tour.
The infamous pop-punk trio will be playing at Sheffield Academy on July 3rd this year. They will also be visiting numerous cities across the UK as part of their worldwide ‘Revolution Radio’ tour.
Tickets for the Sheffield date go on sale at 9am this Thursday – February 16. The Belfast date at The Royal Hospital Kilmainham has already sold out. Support will come from fellow Californian punksters Rancid, who will also be playing the Hyde Park gig with the likes of Sunflower Bean and The Hives on July 1st.
The world tour is in support of Green Day’s twelfth studio album ‘Revolution Radio’ which was released on October 7 last year.
The band have just finished a run of UK dates and will kick off their the world tour in Arizona on 1 March.
