Kentucky alt-rock legends My Morning Jacket are due to hit the road throughout June, July and August. The group have announced a US tour that will take them through various cities, starting off in Cincinnati on 22nd June and ending in Massachusetts’ North Adams on 12th August. Though the tour takes place over the course of three months, the band will actually only play 13 dates as there are considerable gaps between some of the shows.

We last got a substantial release from My Morning Jacket back in 2015, when they released ‘The Waterfall’, their seventh long player since 1999’s debut album ‘The Tennessee Fire’. Front-man Jim James did, however, release a solo album late last year, so it’s not been too long since fans last got new material to sink their teeth into. Straddling the lines between Country Rock, Indie, Classic Pop and at times even Soul, the group are famed for an energetic live show and offer no small amount of originality.
