Directed by Adam Powell, Wolf Alice share a new video for their energetic lead single ‘Yuk Foo’.

Blunt, furious and unapologetic the video perfectly captures the essence of ‘Yuk Foo’, which happens to be an anagram for “Fuk Yoo” (Fuck You). Shot in the basement of Shoreditch Town Hall, the fast paced video shows the band thrashing about on their instruments whilst frontwoman Ellie Rowsell glares at the camera manically. The video is straightforward and perfectly sums up feelings of rage and rebellion.

Talking to Dazed, Rowsell says of the video: “because the song’s so fast, heavy and brash, it doesn’t really seem to lend itself to a narrative video. One of the reasons we took ‘Yuk Foo’ to the studio – besides liking it as a song in and of itself – was because we were so excited to play it live. It’s got so much energy, and so we wanted to make a live video to match; short, and manically fast-paced”.

In addition to this, the band have announced a short burst of intimate shows for their UK tour, leading up to the release of their forthcoming album ‘Visions Of A Life’. The list is as follows:
