Axl Rose was Billy Joel’s special guest during his stop at the Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles on May 13. The pair performed AC/DC‘s classic ‘Highway to Hell’, which Joel jokingly referred to as “a spiritual song, a sacred song.” Rose also sang on Joel’s own track ‘Big Shot’.
After Brian Johnson had to give up his role as AC/DC‘s frontman due to the risk of losing his hearing, Rose became the hard rock band’s temporary frontman. On the possibility of new material with other Guns N’ Roses members, he said: “I played some stuff for Slash and Duff and they liked it, and they might be on it.” The band will go on tour this September, sharing co-headlining duties with The Who. For their UK and Ireland dates, Guns N’ Roses have also announced huge supports including Royal Blood and The Kills.
